Christmas is a special time of year and we took time out of our busy school day to visit our parish's Crib, at the Church of the Holy Rosary.
Ms Moran also explained the meaning of the Advent wreath and the significance of each of the candles' colours.

Santa, and his helpers at Castlebar Firestation, arrived at our school today, 19 December. We sang some Christmas Carols for him and he wished us well as we await his arrival on Christmas Eve !!!
Ho Ho Ho - Thanks Santa, see you next year!!!

Halloween, The Wizards Walk
***********************************************************
We really enjoy Halloween in St. Patrick's BNS and this year was no exception!
We dressed up as goblins, pirates, robbers, jesters and all sorts of "scary" characters. Look closely at the photos below and see if you recognise anyone!
You'll also see us playing traditional Halloween games - snap apple, pass the apple, roll the nut and our favourite - ducking!!!
On Friday, 20th September, we all dressed up in Green and Red to wish our Mayo football teams (Minor and Senior) good luck in Croke Park!
We paraded up through town and sang 'Mayo for Sam' with Chris and Dave in our school hall. We really enjoyed the excitement in the lead up to the All Ireland football finals.
Our Mayo Minor team were victorious but our Senior team were defeated by Dublin!
