The exhibition of her paintings appealed to four of our senses:
Touch - we used our fingers to rub paint and see 'stars' appear in the art work,
Smell - there were little jars of smells from Lucy's art studio (varnish, linseed, coffee etc)
Sight - we looked through view finders to see everyday things / animals that inspired Lucy's art work
Sound - we listened to Lucy's favourite tune that plays in her studio while she paints ..... Colm guessed it was "Twinkle, Twinkle" !!!
After looking at and discussing the exhibition items, we went downstairs into the workshop and created our own works of Art based on the four senses above.
We really enjoyed our trip to the Linenhall Arts Centre and hope to return there very soon!
